Website Costs

Website Costs

Like any job, the cost of your website depends on the size and complexity of the end result. A simple site can be created for a few hundred dollars, while a complex site will cost more. In any case, here are the basic elements:

Design and development – this one-time cost is for creating your custom website. The price will vary based on the desired content.

Domain name – this is your web address (www.yourcompany.com). The cost is about $15/year to keep it.

Hosting – this is where your site will reside. We provide reliable, affordable, and secure hosting. Depending on services the cost ranges between $100 and $300 per year.

Maintenance – all finished sites need maintenance in order to stay current and keep customers coming back. Once your site is complete we will be happy to implement changes that have come to mind in the first week or so for free. After that we will update your site whenever you want for an hourly fee. We also offer monthly maintenance packages (at a better rate) for sites that require constant updates (schedules, calendars, menus, etc.).

We prefer to talk about your goals and then work within your budget to give you the best web presence for your money.

Remember we are always willing to work with you.

The Process

Initial Discussion
During the initial free consultation we begin to gather information about your business, your goals, and your expectations so we can understand how to best present your company on the web. Such things as branding, site purpose, online sales, content development, target audience, and look and feel preferences will be discussed. This discussion can take place on the phone and via email or in person if it is practical to do so.
Planning and Proposal
Based on our initial consultation and further research we will then put together an action plan. We will provide you with a written proposal that identifies in as much detail as possible the objectives, plans, and implementation strategy required to ensure a successful result. This proposal may include site architecture, functionality highlights, maintenance strategies, and more.  It will serve as the initial map of the project.
Website Development
This is the fun part. Your site will grow from an idea into a reality. This phase will often take a few revision cycles and some discussion between the client and the developer. By sticking close to the development plan and keeping open lines of communication, we can ensure that the end result gives your business the web presence it deserves.
Delivery and Launch
Once all the details of your site have been implemented and thoroughly tested we will be ready to go live. Once approved by you the site will be published to the web through hosting setup by us or at a web host of your choice. At this point the site will be ready to go, all SEO practices will have been implemented, email accounts will be in place, and your site will be up and running for all to see and use.
